Shutter Anatomy
Louver Size

Louver choice is a very important part of your order. Light, privacy and aesthetics should be considered. The 3 options below will suit most situations although larger louvers are available by request. The sizes listed below are: 48mm, 64mm and 89mm. See how the view becomes less cluttered and more open and tranparant as you go up in louver size. This should help you to get an impression of the different looks that may be achieved. Each louver size is represented in the open and closed position.
Frames:
There are 2 main aspects to the selection of the frame size. 1. The structural requirements and 2. The visual impact. The basic rule is that the larger the section, the more rigid the frame. A door size panel for example could feel relatively weak and flimsy in a Light weight frame so a larger section would be used to ensure the shutters have good feel and operation when installed. This aspect is important and advice is at hand if you have any questions regarding this part of the shutter construction. You can rest assured though that we have the right solution whatever your requirements may be.
